Position Overview: As a Business Development Manager at Success Local, you will play a critical role in driving our growth strategy by managing and expanding our client base. You will be responsible for generating new business opportunities through various channels, including telephone outreach, networking, and leveraging existing automated outreach campaigns. Your primary objective will be to qualify leads, conduct discovery meetings, and guide prospects through the sales process to secure new business and ensure a smooth transition to our delivery team.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Generation and Qualification:

  • Utilise and optimise existing automated outreach campaigns on LinkedIn and email to generate leads.
  • Conduct proactive telephone outreach to potential clients.
  • Attend networking events, industry conferences, and other relevant events to identify and engage with potential clients.
  • Qualify leads based on opportunity potential and budget considerations.

Sales Process Management:

  • Conduct initial discovery meetings to understand client needs, challenges, and goals.
  • Collaborate with the internal team to develop customised strategies and proposals.
  • Conduct takeback meetings to present proposals and secure new business.
  • Ensure a seamless transition from sales to the delivery team for project execution.

Relationship Building:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their evolving needs and providing ongoing support.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, offering insights and solutions that align with client objectives.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Track and report on sales performance metrics, including lead generation, conversion rates, and revenue targets.
  • Analyse sales data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and areas of success.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and sales automation tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and results-oriented approach.
  • Experience with telephone outreach, networking, and other lead generation techniques.
  • Understanding of the web development process and digital marketing landscape is a plus.
